Day 3 and counting...

Another sleepless night unfortunately, I managed to get about 4 hours in..even took a sleeping tablet to help me but that didn't seem to do too much other than make me feel drowsy. I'm starting to experience a dry mouth, soreness in the throat and the sensation of sunburn on the skin which are all due to the radiation treatments.

At least it's working and doing what needs to be done. Does anyone have a Geiger counter that I can borrow for a few months?

At yesterday's treatment session, I gave the radiology department an iPod connection cable for the stereo system as up until then, people had to bring in CD's or Tapes to listen to their music. The head nurse has an old music taste and there's only so much Engelbert Humperdinck and Nana Mouskouri that one can bear. For me, it was one day! The other nurses appreciated my day 2 playlist and we all enjoyed a chuckle afterwards.
